3 - Mandatory Field Training, Lead Request Process and General Information
In the last block, we will give you details of the field training and show you important elements of our lead system. We will also review the commission system and important information for your success. You will also have the contact information, to the key persons of our staff and agency.
Along with watching the online training videos, we strongly recommend that our agents study and get to know the Rate Book. We encourage you to read the Lincoln Heritage Rate Book thoroughly, being familiar with the book is important when writing business.
You will find a lot of information about the health questions, the prescription check, the maximum face amount for third party applications, underwriting, state specific signature guidelines, advance guidelines and more. We cannot express enough how important knowing the Rate Book is.
Without a doubt, the most important part of our agents' training is field training. Learning the basic lines of behavior with our clients, and the advice of an agent can be essential before facing a solo sale. Watching and learning how to present a correct presentation of our product is the difference between failure and success.
Once you have finished your online training, contact our office, and you will be assigned one of our Top Producing trainers to go out on a training day to visit prospective clients.
Please remember it is mandatory to watch the training videos prior to requesting field training.
Our Top Producing trainer not only gives you advice that day, but will provide you with their contact information, in case you need their assistance in the future.
Another point to consider is that the Lincoln Heritage customer service department, provides technical support to agents on the field. Just call them!
After the field training is finished, you are ready to order your leads and make your first sales! The process for ordering leads is simple and designed so that everything is documented. You must send an e-mail to maria.amenero@diamond-memorial.com.
Telephone orders will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Be sure to include the necessary information in the email to get what you are looking for. On your email, please indicate the number of leads you are requesting and your areas of preference. Cities or Zip Codes are encouraged. For example, if you choose an area of the city, you can include 5, 6 or more Zip Codes of that specific area where you would like to work.
To retrieve your leads you will need to login in to the Lincoln Heritage website. Go to www.lhlic.com and hover your cursor over “Customer Service” and click on the “Lincoln Heritage Agent Login”. Then, click on the “Sign In” option in the upper right corner of the screen. Type in your username and password were directed to and click “Sign In”.
In the “Leads” tab, you have 4 options: “Agent Statistics” (you can see your lead balance, chargeback balance, current and last quarter production); “My Leads” (to retrieve your assigned leads); “Marketing Files” and the “Pre-Approach Letters”.
To retrieve your leads, you will click “My Leads”.
In “My Leads”, you will see a lot of different options to retrieving your leads. By clicking the blue hyperlink that says "instructions", you'll find step by step guide to retrieving, downloading and printing your leads.
To view a full list of your leads, simply click “View Leads”. You can then arrange the list by name, address, media, language, date received and assigned. You’ll then select the leads you want to download and chose the format you desire to print them in.
You also have the “Map Route” option, enter a starting address and ending address with the leads you have already selected and it will generate a map with a route. The “Pre-Approach Letter” allows you to send a second letter to the client.
Lincoln Heritage will only issue credit on leads if they meet one or more items from the following criteria:
1 - Person on the lead is deceased.
2 - Person on the lead is currently living at a nursing home (and/or the address is a nursing home).
3 - The phone number AND address on the lead is incorrect (both need to be incorrect).
4 - The lead was already visited by another agent or yourself within the last 30 days.
